Scholarship Program

Scholarship winners for 2012 will be annouced at the Hana Graduation May 19. This year's scholarships include: 

Travaasa Ohana Scholarship: Travaasa Hana has established the Ohana scholarship to assist immediate family members of the hotel to realize their dreams of attending college or vocational school.  This scholarship will be a one-time award of $2000.

Buck Family Scholarship: The Buck family has a home in Hana and has established this scholarship to assist graduates of Hana High School to realize their dreams of attending college or vocational school.  This scholarship will continue for a total of eight semesters as long as the recipient continues to meet the eligibility criteria.  The scholarship award is $1000 per semester for a total of $8000 over four years.

Spalding Family Scholarship: The Spalding family has established this new scholarship to assist graduates of Hana High School to realize their dreams of attending college or vocational school.  The scholarship award is $1000 and will be given to a student who has good values and character and is ambitious and sets an example to do their best. 

The Scholarship Program was formed to provide a way for individuals and businesses to set up scholarships for graduating Hana High School seniors or students from Hana already enrolled as a graduate or undergraduate. Bartimus Wariner Family Scholarship:  Tad Bartimus and Dean Wariner have established this scholarship to assist graduates of Hana High School to realize their dreams of attending college or vocational school.  Hana keiki have touched their lives in many ways and they want to give back to the student and their ohana some small measure of the gifts they have received. The amount of the monetary award(s) will be at the discretion of the donors.

T.L. Hana Ohana Schlarship:  T.L. Hana has established the Ohana scholarship to assist immediate family members of their Hana restaurants to realize their dreams of attending college or vocational school.  This scholarship is a one-time award of $2000.
